A lad a school used to say chimberley pots.

My mum used to say someone was incaddescent with rage.

It was odd how frequently the words came into their conversations.

The wife of the couple my wife and I were having dinner with was telling us about their holiday to Tunisia. She said they had taken a trip to Cartilage. Her husband and I exchanged looks. Mine said, "Did I hear that right?" His said, "If you laugh I'm going to kill you."

I know a few people who regularly pronounce things wrongly, I just get used to it after a while. Both of them are sufficiently old that correcting them won't make any difference now.

Growing up I thought rendezvous (pronounced like it was written) was the english version if the french word pronounced "randay voo".

Until very recently I thought middle class super food quinoa was pronounced "quin-oh-ah".
