2006 Octavia master/slave cylinder
Discussion
Replacing the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder on a mates 06 Octavia 1.9 diesel.
A great deal of messing has seen the new M/C installed and connected.
When trying to bleed from the slave the nipple was found to have been bodged with ptfe.
I have a new one on the way, I know how to fit it.
I am seeing conflicting info on bleeding.
Some say no need to pump the pedal ?
Others say 2 person job or ezibleed (my ezibleed is knackered)
Seems a pretty common engine and box so I’m hoping someone has done the job and can advise.
Thanks in advance

I've never tried on an Octavia, but I can't see how you'd bleed a simple hydraulic system without pumping master cylinder. What would force the fluid flow through to get the air out?
Quite, I have done many Alfa slave cylinders, all needed either 2 people (done it once on my own and it’s a pita) or bleed kit.Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
