Hi Guys,

A while back my missus bought a BMW 520i from a car dealer in Frankfurt. The car has been great until I found some *hidden* documentation a few days ago.

Its a 9 year old car, when we bought it the clock showed 160,000km. The dealer in the garage said it had no TUV (like an MOT) so he would put it through. So he did and we got the car. Happy!

It was not until 2 days ago I discovered another TUV paper hidden in the car. It had the same engine no's etc so its for sure my car. Difference is this TUV was made 1 month before I bought the car (dealer said there was none) and the km was 242,116!!!!

Two possibilities I can see:

1. The previous owner clocked the car and gave it to the dealer
2. The dealer clocked it and sold it to me.

Either option is not good! I have the official documentation to prove it as well.

What should I do? ? Any ideas!

Thanks in advance!

Deester...

trading standards should give you some advice

must have been the dealer - no private citizen would clock the car and then leave the documentation proving they had clocked it....shurely only the garage monkees could manage that.
