Hi.

What, if any benefit will I get by fitting K&N Air Filters to my W204 C63.

Regards.

Dave.

Not much. What are you hoping to achieve? More power.

If like me you're old enough to remember Max Power magazine, a K&N filter meant you could quote an extra 8bhp down the pub. 11bhp if you also put the K&N sticker on the car.

Hi.

Nothing really, just wondered if it would make much difference, but it looks like there’s not much point to be honest.

Thanks for reply.

I would put a call through to the guys at DMS or those at MSL for the correct answer. Probably not much, where better gains can be achieved elsewhere along with more noise.

Isn't there some doubt about oiled air filters and MAFs? Namely the people who make paper filters say they damage MAFs and the people who make oiled ones say they don't?

OP, save your money, regardless of MAF concerns I've seen various tests that show the oiled filter is great when fresh but clogs more quickly than a paper one.

Thanks for replies guys.
I think I won’t bother, will just let Mercedes garage put fresh ones in on next service.

Regards.

Dave.
