Powerbeats Pro and Garmin watch volume issues

Ive recently bought a Garmin Forerunner 645 music and a set of Powerbeat pros. For the last 4 weeks or so they have connected and worked perfectly. I could not tell how much power was in the case or the headphones so, after a Google I found the Beats app. I downloaded it, set everything up and all was good. It then told me I needed to update the firmware on my headphones. I did this and now when they connect to my watch they are on full volume and I cant turn them down on the headphones, I have to use the watch, PITA when running. Ive contacted/spoke to Apple 3 times and they have been next to useless, has anyone else experienced this?
