I can’t get it to connect properly to remove the “ service now “ msg that pops up for a minute after starting on a 2013 MY Audi Q3 TDi
Tried both the can bus ( which I think it is ) and “ none can bus “ modes .

Device is not faulty as it works fine on a 2004 Bentley GT ...with has the VAG W12 engine found in the Phaeton and A8 .
Followed instructions plugged it in 1 st then turned on the ignition etc .
The Audi has KESSY, but no seperate key slot ....just the button to start .
Bentley has both , button and key ....the thing works with ignition on using both ways with the GT .

It’s a V checker 302 supposed to be “ professional “ for VAG cars .

How do you get theses things to connect with modern Audi’s ?

It might be that it only supports the old VAG diagnostics protocol (TP 2.0) and doesn't support UDS which is used on newer vehicles.

There is an Android app called Car Scanner that will probably do it if you have a Bluetooth elm327 device.

Other than that VCDS is very good but not so cheap any more.
