Peugeot 206cc..let the jokes begin
Discussion
We decided we needed another car although we already own two and only I drive, reason being I’m semi restoring my 1998 V70 T5 which I’ve owned for a good few years now and really do enjoy driving it, other car is a Dacia Logan MCV as a Hackney for my employment.
So after some discussion, wife says she’d like a convertible but it has to be a hardtop, obviously due to the current restrictions it makes it a little harder to find a car however after a few days browsing we find a car that’s local and view it, admittedly not my first choice but here it is;
It’s a one owner car, fsh, leather, air con, lots of receipts etc, cambelt done December, mot March next year cost was £500.00, owned for a few weeks now and it does what It was designed for.
Naturally I’ve already been on the receiving end of many one liners and I’m sure they’ll be more to come but for a cheap bit of summer motoring it’s a great deal I think.

Was this you driving earlier op?

On a serious note, as someone who's had numerous MX5's, the joke is usually on the person making it. Driving with the roof down on a nice road in this weather is about as good as it gets regardless of what you're driving. Nice to see one without 'powered by fairy dust' stickers and Lexus lights. I think these appealed particularly to a certain female demographic originally which might be part of the image issue.
