Which Supercar to buy.

The AMG is the 4.0 V8, its a late 2018 car. It has the switchable exhaust. I have the spec sheet, but haven't a clue what is additional options on it. I also have a video form the dealer and its eye watering good looking....
..but then there is the ferrari.... which is actually a lot more on finance. I could use the AMG to drive to work and park it there, I would be very reluctant to do the same in the Ferrari.

The Merc is nice but has parts shared with basic models made for the masses. No danger of that with the Ferrari

I started out looking for a Ferrari California , an early one. Then I read that it isn’t as good as the later 2014+ T, so budget creep..... then I see an AMG GT C, which sounds utterly amazing. 911 is the safe choice, I’ve had one before.
I would also love to get into a 570s Spider, but that they are even a bit more expensive than the Cali.....

I only ask as when I was in the same position I wanted it to be mid engined and a bit raw. All 3 of those I would actually call more GT ish. Don’t get me wrong all are fantastic drives.
Except for the early California. Looked at one got out of it very unimpressed. The T was a massive update that I thought was a night and day difference.

Def not daily driver, i have a Mini Cooper for that. Occassional commute, weekend toy...I only ask as when I was in the same position I wanted it to be mid engined and a bit raw. All 3 of those I would actually call more GT ish. Don’t get me wrong all are fantastic drives.

There is a lot of choice around that price point.
If it shall be a weekend toy I would look towards something more...special in terms of powertrain.
Something that you can not get anymore with most modern metal.
as previously stated a Ferrari F430 or maybe a F360 Manual
Maserati GranTurismo for a more relaxed ride
Audi R8 V10 (Manual)
these three would be what I would look for.
