New laptop check... biggrin LOL

Moving on, anyone know how to speed up scrolling on a track pad?

I have set it to 100 lines and it seems no different. Tried 20,50 etc.

Does not seem to change the speed. On my old laptop I had it set quite high so I could quickly get to the bottom of long pages but this new on (HP) does not seem to want to play ball.

What OS?
My W10 has a bar to adjust between 1 and 10, nothing about lines?

Touchpad, additional settings, (mouse properties) wheel, vertical scrolling.

Is that where you're at?
Just changed mine to 50 lines and it scrolls almost unusuably quickly.
Back to 5 and I can still scroll a page of the forum in one flick, 20 posts per page.

well spent 4 hours trying everything and the best I can come up with is that the settings in windows have zero effect on the actual way the track pad works.

It seems its locked down by the software drivers?

does not matter if you set it at 1 or 99 or 55 it does not change the way it works. Reading online some people have also said this.

Got to say its really not very good if there is no way to change this... oh dear.

Found an extension for chrome called fast scroll. That works perfectly.
Have raised a support case in the mean time as its clearly a problem.
