Trouble with BT WiFi extender 1200

Hello folks
For something so simple to set up I am having a lot of trouble. Trying to set it up with Sky Q router which we have had about six months. Tried using the WPS button with no success . Tried different plug sockets, all in the same room but wouldn’t connect.
Next tried without WPS to connect wirelessly. Got as far as entering admin password and the internet dropped. Since then every time I try the extender network I get a message saying not connected to WiFi
Again have tried in different plug sockets. At the moment it is in the socket ,all switched on. Blue power light is on on red lights are flashing.

This won't be much help but I gave up with mine and I was using BT internet and router.
It dropped out all the time needing a reset and reconnection which would never just work.
I gave up with it and got the disc stuff which does, just work.
