So what about Used Car Prices now the Lockdown is over?

Would be interested in any genuine examples of deals. My gut feel is that there must be thousands of unsold cars (the market being fed from the top by the unsold brand new ones). Therefore it must be a buyers market.
Looking at AutoTrader though, the prices (and the cars available) haven't changed for 2 months. ...

My guess is, give it another month. I think dealers are still hoping for a bit of pent up demand from the lockdown period, plus a bit of demand from people who don't want to use public transport. I think once that initial buzz (if any) has subsided, the reality of 8 million unemployed (or whatever it settles at) will sink in, and the market will fall from that point on.Looking at AutoTrader though, the prices (and the cars available) haven't changed for 2 months. ...

What you're forgetting is that production stopped & in a lot of cases hasn't fully started up so Manufacturer's aren't as top heavy as people think & they're not going planning on producing so many new cars post Covid either so while there will be deals I don't think the prices will change much.
