pedal boxes

I have heard that the pedal boxes on the S can be varied...... I am not that tall 5ft5 to be exact but I have to have my seat right forward to depress the clutch comfortably and my wife at 5ft 2 is on tippy toes!!!
....... how can I tell if the pedal box is in the "tall" position and how easy is it to alter?

I have also read somewhere that the pedal box is adjustable but always with "(at the factory)" after it.. It was and is something that I wish to investigate having a similar problem being only 5'6" myself. I have not yet got around to it as I have only had the car a week and have had more pressing things to do (driving it and grinning ). I would therefore also like to know if anyone has any info on this topic.

Wearing a pair of platform shoes may help?



The pedal box could be repositioned or the positions of the pedals inside the box could be changed. Either method would require quite a bit of work.

--I have the opposite problem. I'm 6'5"
Luckily for me the first owner had ticked the box on the extra's list to have the pedal box moved. I have the original order form for the car so it's definately done at the factory. It only cost him £30 so it can't be big job to do it. Not sure how they did it though. Not much help I'm afraid but I doubt it's welded in place.

Hi doddze

My car is a bit cramped for me as im 6,2 its an s1 though so im not sure if the boxes are the same. If they are the same and mine is a short one and your is a long one do you fancy swapping boxes.
