Exhaust remote bypass for DB9 or V8/V12 Vantage
Discussion
Would anyone like a remote control exhaust relay bypass ? Free of charge to a good home in the UK. To be honest, I’d forgotten I’d got it, and found it in the garage when looking for something else.
It is a type S6 unit and was originally fitted by those good people at CC Chargers at the Burghley event a few years back, and was used in my 2014 V8 Vantage S to very good effect. All monies that they received that day went to charity, so I do not want payment for this of any kind - I’ll be just happy in the knowledge that your neighbours will be annoyed as hell at 7 am on a Sunday morning when your Aston fires up. Feel free to donate to a charity of your choice if you so wish.
I have confirmed with the fine chap who makes these, that the type S6 I have is suitable for the DB9 and variants from 2012 on, and V8/V12 Vantage variants 2011 onwards. However, If you look on the cccharger.co.uk website, it will tell you that the type S6 is for Rapide and Rapide S models. This is simply because he re-referenced the type numbers in 2017.
The kit comes with full instructions, and two lock/unlock key fobs. The instructions (and it is so easy to install) say fuse 15, but on some models I believe fuse 22 may be the one to pull. Your handbook will tell you.
I’ll send this to the first person to request it, just as soon as I can get my arse into gear and get to the Post Office to buy a padded envelope.

Contact made and many thanks to Octavarium - looking forward to receiving and trying this to see what difference it makes - I already keep it in "Sport" because I quite like the angery noise it makes (not a typo).
As for annoying the neighbours - heaven forfend! That's exactly why one of these fits the bill rather than simply pulling the fuse
I'd also never heard of Dream Theater

That was the album I just happened to be listening to when I was registering for the PH forum, and I was pondering on a user name. The '8' theme seemed appropriate too at the time, as I was in the process of looking for a V8 Vantage. As for annoying the neighbours - heaven forfend! Anyhow, it's on its way, so hopefully will be with you in the next day or two.
