Just curious,I find I can easily go through a 2-3 tanks in a weekends spirited driving. When I'm going out for a blast in my 993tt I find 1/4 tank and your just getting into the drive! then by 1/2 tank you've had a good drive,I,m talking your favorite roads/route when clear. That's fine but I find I Want to go for a drive later in the evening then maybe in the morning before all the traffic builds up.You get the picture it's becoming £££ worthof fuel.I've had a c2 911 that drinks a little less but I'd stay out longer.Surley the average earning guy can't keep that habit up? What's you guy's views

I just fill her up and try not think about it. Seriously if you start trying to justify it you will buy a Jetta Diesel.

I don't mind filling her up for 'fun' miles, what I do hate is wasting the fuel whilst sitting in traffic or doing a mundane commute.

Is it ever going to make any difference what it costs, I don't drink or smoke, in fact i'm perfect in every way, which means it goes on petrol clearly.

I use about £80:00 per week, but do a lot of business miles (at 'steady' speeds)

Average consumption is normally 23/24, but in last 2 days with aircon on "LO" its dropped to 21mpg

Driving the car really hard doesn't make much difference - still get about 21/22 to the gallon on average !

Usually about a tankful on a track day.

Equals about 9mpg!!

with my 993, it's quite easy to cruise on the motorway and get 26-30mpg

town driving that drops to 15-18mpg but in central london gridlock traffic that fall to 10-12 mpg

although on my last track day I averaged 12-13mpg !

and at £70 per fill up - complete tank, I'll try not to think about it.... the price of fun !
