Deposited on a Morgan 3-Wheeler
Discussion
Morning all,
I cannot remember being quite as excited about a motoring experience as this one. The 3-Wheeler thing has been eating away at me for many months now (possibly years) but nothing has quite jumped out at me at the price point I was willing to spend. I love the idea of ordering one brand new but at £40k plus options it’s just a little too expensive right now, certainly for something this compromised.
We’ve had a bit of a shakedown of the fleet of late. I have sold my Maserati 4200 and I’m moving my Elan Plus 2 on which will be superseded by the Morgan. This leaves me with my recent acquisition of an SLK55 AMG, my Quattroporte and the 3-Wheeler when it arrives. I’m hoping that we have covered all bases with these three as they all serve different purposes. My other half also adores the SLK which leaves me much freer to buy idiotic cars like this, with no backlash!
Anyway, to the Morgan. It’s a 2015 in Sports Blue over tan. It has vintage bonnet catches, tan leather bonnet belt, heated seats and Stage 1 upgrade. I think the colour combination suits the car perfectly. It is also free of the nasty horrible decals that some 3-Wheelers are ruined by. The only thing I am looking at changing straight away would be the steering wheel which looks too large for the cabin in my view.
These photos are stolen from Car and Classic which I’ve cropped down, the only way I could work out how to show them here.

Very nice indeed!
You will need to be chatting with Chris over at Garage 56 for some nice upgrades which will prolong the life of the car. They do have some design issues out of the factory that they have gone about rectifying!
Once the three wheeler bug has bitten you will not be without one!

That looks fantastic, bravo! I really, really like these and am keen to hear how you go in them - the top of the engine and side profile is just unlike anything else, and you'll be grinning at any speed, never mind this 'on the limit' nonsense.
I was very disappointed when they closed the door on the electric 3 wheeler, but I have a feeling if Morgan are to survive it will be rejuvinated sometime.
Hope you have a suitably worn flight jacket and long white scarf for cruising.

Talk to Krazy Horse.
They have some new wishbones at the front which change the geometry and (shock!) make it go round corners.
I am at Stage 2 with mine and considering bolting a supercharger to the front. Great fun to drive and v fast when you upgrade them just remember the engine is in front of the front axle, so very slow in fast out.......

I love these. The first thing I did was to take a look at Car and Classic to see how much they are these days and yours was the first one on the list! I think of all of the modern ones there yours was the nicest. a lovely combination of colours and the dashboard treatment was the nicest.
Congrats, I am sure to will be a blast

You've got a good machine there. The original owner was well known in M3W circles and looked after it carefully. It has all the necessary revisions and Stage 1, so there is no need to visit KH or G56 unless you want to go for the Stage 2 upgrade.I cannot remember being quite as excited about a motoring experience as this one. No longer, but you should still be able to find his Westmog blog on the web. It has plenty of information about your vehicle. There will have been another owner between him and you, so it may not be in the state that he left it.
Thanks very much for this. Fantastic to read. Ambleton said:
