Less than 500 miles since my speedo in my 1997 4.2 came back for the factory 'fixed' due to the odometer and trip not working. All smiles for 300 miles but the bloody things gone again!! Tried the usual, pressing the trip reset several hundred times whilst driving and it still hasn't budged! What guarantee do I get that it'll work if it goes back to the factory again!? Apparently it's the earlier model and is not longer produced so has to be repaired. Anyone know where I can get another one from? Thought of being without the car, too risky to have a blank hole, really bugs me!

have you tried getting one from a breakers. When i needed a drive shaft in Feb, and TVR coul;dnt supply one for 3 months a "dismantler" sent one out same day.

I found a few high class dosmantlers in exchange and mart, or ring Jules, he knows everyone!

Noticed secondhand older type speedo here the other day

www.tvr-webmart.co.uk/tvr_ads_parts.html

Sounds a bit iffy (price in dollars???) but maybe worth a look.

Thanks for all the replies. Got a secondhand one from Douglas Valley, apparently they have several Cerberas for breaking. Paid £150, which is worth it to get it working, I hope.
Can anyone tell me how do I get the instrument cover off and do I need to disconnect the battery?
