MPG----How many miles to a full tank ?
Discussion
My fuel gauge has been shot for the last 6 months (Sender goosed) so I've got quite good at gusstimating how much is in the tank. 250 to a full tank is very safe but I'm getting somewhere in the region of 30mpg when I work it out, I've Had 36!!!!!! Who said TVR's were thirsty?
If anyone knows of a cheap stainless tank I'm all ears

Yeah, Charlotte spent some time trying to explain proper use of the throttle switch but I'm still not quite sure I understand ...
But seriously, the fuel consumption is abysmal at the moment but that's just because it is running very very Very rich to keep the temperatures down. I'll get it mapped properly one of these days ...

im getting 20 mpg to just under 20, i think im overfueling a bit. I can always smell fuel (no leaks by the way guess i will need to get it on the rollers when i can. Might go for a dastek unichip piggyback ecu. Ive heard you can get very good mpg with those. If your looking to improve your mpg maybe it could be an option
Smelling fuel isn't a good sign.
I would check the fuel system from end to end for signs of a leak. Might be as simple as a perforated hose. Whatever it is, small leaks have a habbit of leading to big leaks
so worth fixing.
Edited to add: even if it is running *very* rich you wouldn't normally smell fuel unless it has a misfire or a leak in the fuel system.

Took mine out today, put £20.00 worth of juice in the tank. I did approximately 180 miles and used at a conservative guess around £16 - £17 worth of fuel. That was over two thirds motorway driving, (with out pushing it!) and then a mixture of small hilly roads and some A roads. How does that seem to you guys?

I am curious !
How much to fill an `S` these days ?
How many miles `more or less` to a full tank ?
How many of your fuel gauges still work ?
300+ motorway miles (Le Mans) on a full tank.
My fuel gauge works better than most, which can only be used as "fuel presence indicators".
