Hi,

I had a quick run out in the car this afternoon and everything was ok until i felt a weird feeling coming from the car. I stopped and in drive the car was vibrating alittle and felt like the transmission was not disengaging, really strange, put it in park and it vibrated less but did not disappear, never come across it before.

No warning signs or dash lights, nothing. I switched off the car then back on and everything ok and drove home ok.

Very strange, I've checked with my OBD reader for any codes but nothing.

Felt like a transmission fault as the engine sounded fine.

Has anyone had the same problem??

Thanks.

Not had this problem but was the idle speed in drive as it should be? If it was idling slightly too fast, the transmission would tend to pull but have no effect in neutral or park. Restarting could have reset the idle speed.Maybe a sticky throttle actuator. Could try cleaning out the throttle bodies with carb cleaner.

Thanks for your reply, the idle speed was normal and I cleaned the throttle bodies last year so don't think so.

Definitively felt something was Really wrong with the car, strange vibration, but after a re-start back to normal.

I'm thinking something could be wrong with the auto gearbox and when i restarted it the gearbox reset.

I'll go out next weekend to see if it happens again, and if it gets worse it's off to Bamford Rose.

If anyone has any other ideas please let me know.

I had a physical judder when I was having miss fires on the way out of London, below 3k it would judder but above it was fine. No lights on the dash but diagnosed as 3 miss firing sparks.

Yeah thanks for that, i had the misfire counts looked at recently on AMDS and they were all ok, the problem didn't seem to be coming from the engine at all. My impression it was transmittion related, I'll take the car out later in the week to see if it happens again.

Took her out again today for a good drive and no worries at all, weird but currently all good.

Glad to hear better news Paul.

All I want to mention is the V12 misfire, apparently sometimes hardly perceptible, followed by the primary cat disaster.
Sure that you must already be aware of that though.
