Hadn't previously registered the policeman that got affected was CID rather than a uniformed office who went to the house. Also interesting the suggestion on how he got contaminated seems somewhat topical - moved his goggles aside to rub his eye.

I'm not entirely comfortable with dramatizations of such recent events, but more than most this is a an area I've an interest in.

I watched it last night and found it quite interesting - They've mentioned Dawn very early on to set the scene I guess.
They never did replace the bench in The Maltings

I thought it strange how many police turned up at the start considering it was a suspected overdose at the time.

I found it strange that the Russians did it, even though Portondown is only a few miles away and immediately received millions in funding when this kicked off.

I watched all 3 episodes last night. It's pretty good but does leave a few unanswered questions.

Yes: swans acting oddly? Swans not doing odd stuff would be noteworthy!

Was a good watch so far. Saving the last episode for tomorrow.

Never heard Salisbury people speak like that, they must have got it mixed up with Melksham.... hehe

I feel dreadfully sorry already for Dawn. She was treated like human waste by the press in some respects, this story shows the human side of her, she’s being portrayed with real compassion.

The only person that died, and the focus in the press was on the fact that she was an alcoholic, as if that was relevant in some way.

RIP.

I have enjoyed it so far.

Guessing it is easy to spot the parts filmed in Bristol (Clevedon)

Anyone else notice the white Civic Type R FK8 a couple of doors down from DS Nick Bailey's house last night?

I did - first thing I noticed in that scene!

Gobby woman who lives in Skripal’s street really getting on my tits! We don’t all speak like that around here (in fact that’s a Bristolian accent).

Enjoying the programme though apart from that. I was born in Salisbury and have lived in Dorset/Wiltshire all my life. It’s funny how the programme has made me not only sad for the people, but also my local city.

Nice little touch to get clips of the actual Spire FM broadcast in as well

First episode was good and we all sat down last night to watch episode 2 which was dire. Dreadful script putiing silly words into the mouths of stupid people. The bit about the swans was ludicrous, the bit about closing the police station was a just a daft way to make a silly point about bigwigs from London. And the set-up of the alchoholic character is really poor.

Nice touch at the end to show the real life people involved.

Overall, pretty good dramatisation. You have to overlook certain things that were added for TV which may have been unrealistic. It's a drama after all, not a documentary.

Quite moving closing scenes with the real video of Dawn dancing with her daughter.
