GOOD AFTERNOON,

I HAVE A 2008 SLK 280. I HAVE TWO KEY FOBS THAT WILL NOT DISARM THE ALARM & OPERATE THE CENTRAL LOCKING. BOTH FOBS FLASH A RED LIGHT WHEN OPERATED AND I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERIES IN ONE OF THEM.

THE EMERGENCY KEY WILL OPEN THE DRIVERS DOOR LOCK OK, AND THE BOOT LOCK TURNS BUT WILL NOT OPEN. THE ALARM ACTIVATES WHEN THE DOOR OR BONNET IS OPEN.

NONE OF THE INTERNAL LOCK SWITCHES AND IGNITION WILL NOT WORK.

HELP

Yes, the battery is not great and the alarm will drag it down if left too long. I am charging the battery as we speak in the hope that might allow me to disable the alarm if that is what it is?

thank you

If you have the car serviced by MB you should be covered by Mercedes Assist. My wife's '98 SLK230 certainly is.
