Good morning everyone..

I am in the process of relocating to Greece from California and was asked to get a COC for my 2015 Vantage v12S.

any advise as to how to obtain one will be greatly appreciated. The dealer here in los angeles is not much help

You have to contact an Aston dealer in Greece if there is one. Or asking online (I used this website : https://www.eurococ.eu )

There used to be a lady in Gaydon specialising in this field (Ms Donna Kalek). Don´t know if she is still there, but you would probably need to get into contact with Gaydon anyway on this matter. A Certificate of Conformity (or rather in this case: Statement of Conformity) could cost about GBP 150.00 as far as I know.

I have no personal experience in such transactions.

I am 99.99% sure you will not be able to obtain a CoC for a USA vehicle. I tried, and could not get one. CoC's only exist for vehicles built to be sold within the EU.
I would suggest it will be a lot easier to sell your car before you leave, and buy a European V12S when you've relocated, there are plenty available in Germany.

Hi,
Yes it’s Donna that will arrange it.
I have her email but can’t share it on open forum. GDPR and all that.

I have just brought my vantage back to the uk from Bahrain and the CoC cost me £199 plus vat.
The CoC was sent to my home address in the UK.

Hi! Glad to see another Greek owner here!

I recently went through the process of importing my Vantage to Greece from France. I got the CoC very easily and for free from the French dealership that sold the car originally. I know they contacted the factory to get it, so as advised above, might worth getting in touch directly with them.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any additional info.

Best,

Damianos

Well, if you just tried to e-mail to: donna.kalek@astonmartin.com? I mean, could anything worse happen than simply getting no answer at all? wink

Hi guys,

I have imported a UK AM db9 to France.

Even with the European reception number, the French Administration demands the COC just because the Type version variant line (D2) is not completely mentioned on the V5.

Does the AM coc still cost 1200 pounds ? Can’t imagine I will have to pay this price just for a useless piece of paper.

Regards

I bought three CoC from Donna in July 2022 for £199 each. Since then they have jacked the price to £1200. It’s just a bit of A4 with mostly generic information.

You’d rightly imagine that anyone relocating to another country and wanting to take their Aston with them (and go through all the hassle of export/import, reregistration, inspection, taxes etc) are pretty loyal customers of the marque….

Therefore attempting to blatantly gouge those individuals would at best have to be described as short sighted, and perhaps more accurately moronic.

Good luck with the import.
