X5 40e hybrid - should I?

Wife is wanting a newer car as her E87 120d is getting long in the tooth, and having loved (which I hated) our Range Rover Sport 2.7TDV6 a few years ago, she wants something 'similar'.
She does a 44 mile daily commute 50/50 motorway and north London stop/start traffic and it'll also do a heck of a lot of 5 mile school runs.
As this will be our family car it'll also do the occasional 100+ mile trip and be for pending dog (Labrador) duties too.
We'll likely keep it for 8-10+ years if it ticks all boxes.

We had an amazing E61 525d that I massively regret selling but the X5s 4x4 capabilities will help a bit when I go to the farms during the game season (not full on off-roading, just a bit boggy).

I love a BMW so not interested in suggestions of other brands, just whether you'd recommend the hybrid vs any other combinations in the range.

Thanks but that's a 45e which is actually quite different.
