Intentionally freezing video in Zoom.
Discussion
Just use your video cam to film a couple of minutes of yourself at your desk, with the occasional smile or nod. Save that as a video file then in Zoom preferences you can set it as your video backgrounds when you leave the room for a comfort break. It will loop until you reset to no background

There's also the low-tech optionhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhTRkTKjya0
When I was using zoom I did exactly what was suggested by having a video of me as my background. I updated it every day for my change of shirt.
I had a colleague that had his background being him coming in to his office and pulling faces before going back through his office door.
If there are more than about 12 people on the call, anyone that turns off their video goes to the back of the list and out of visibility. I found that your profile picture becomes you image when video is off when I saw my Halloween mask on screen.
I’m somewhere else now and don’t have zoom so just turn off the video. If someone has an issue the. We can address it together. Some allowances have to be made.

If you were F2F would you sit there for the full 4 hours without getting up, or having a break? What if there was coffee on a side table or credenza in the meeting room - you can't go and get one? I think it's quite reasonable to take a comfort break of some sort during a 4 hour meeting of any sort.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
