What has everybody heard regarding stock and availability of all models going forward. I understand availability/allocations to dealerships has been reduced for this year.

Depending on what model. I couldn’t get a guaranteed build slot for last quarter this year on a Macan GTS through a number of OPCs.

I was lucky enough to get a cancelled order this week for July delivery.

The OPC was full of buyers (social distancing of course) and 3 new were sold in the 2 hours I was there including mine.

Used pricing negotiations were falling on deaf ears I was told as they just cannot get new stock through.

Interesting to note, all 3 nearly new Macan GTS on the Porsche website went in 3 days since dealerships reopened.

Interesting, and it would appear allocations are not plentiful. I have looked at a few 992 models with very low miles and they have sold within days of being advertised....

I am sure cars are selling right now because of supply/pent up demand but OPC’s only get build slots for Q4 in around August time (they get build slots about six weeks before a quarter begins) so it doesn’t surprise me that you couldn’t get one for Q4.

Well done on getting one for next month !

'My' Boxster GTS 4.0 (order placed in late Feb IIRC) won't be available till Q4 or maybe Q1 2021. 992 delivery for order placed now would be Q4. (I was told.)

I have a friend with an early 992 C4S & the supplying dealer is keen to buy it back for their used car stock as they have less new car allocation this year & hence less part exchanges coming in. He was offered a 992 Turbo slot for later this year but has backed out of it due to the Covid situation.

Sounds like Porsche are doing absolutely the right thing....I can think of a couple of British manufacturers that need to do the same thing !

I was talking to senior guy at a dealership today, and he said 100%, no Porsche dealer has q4 allocations yet, but expecting them any time now.
Bear in mind the potential for 10% tariffs in January, and I’ll bet they will be trying to load UK quota this year.
