New stock/availability during covid
Discussion
Depending on what model. I couldn’t get a guaranteed build slot for last quarter this year on a Macan GTS through a number of OPCs.
I was lucky enough to get a cancelled order this week for July delivery.
The OPC was full of buyers (social distancing of course) and 3 new were sold in the 2 hours I was there including mine.
Used pricing negotiations were falling on deaf ears I was told as they just cannot get new stock through.
Interesting to note, all 3 nearly new Macan GTS on the Porsche website went in 3 days since dealerships reopened.

I am sure cars are selling right now because of supply/pent up demand but OPC’s only get build slots for Q4 in around August time (they get build slots about six weeks before a quarter begins) so it doesn’t surprise me that you couldn’t get one for Q4. Well done on getting one for next month !
I have a friend with an early 992 C4S & the supplying dealer is keen to buy it back for their used car stock as they have less new car allocation this year & hence less part exchanges coming in. He was offered a 992 Turbo slot for later this year but has backed out of it due to the Covid situation.
