Vintage Heuer Help
Discussion
I have been browsing for a vintage Heuer watch for sometime now and have come across something I am interested in. However it has a few details I am unsure of.
It has a pretty basic description, with what I believe to be a few mistakes in it. It is described as an 1980 watch, but some research suggests its a little later. But I am unsure if the movement and caseback are correct - are there any experts here who can help me out, some photos:

Thanks in advance.

The dial lume looks to have aged more than the lume on the hands. That can happen sometimes, but perhaps have a look at some other pictures of the same type of watch.
It could be recently built out of spare parts. That wouldn't bother me particularly, if I liked the watch and the price was right.

Not so sure it is.
The only Pasadena with “Tachymeter” written on the scale has the Lemania movement- I think.
Also shouldn’t the case back have engraving on it showing the model number?
Agreed - I believe it is a Lemania 510-501 (based on the dial) from some research but I am far from an expert. However, the movement doesn’t look correct and I am not sure about the back either. The only Pasadena with “Tachymeter” written on the scale has the Lemania movement- I think.

As others have said it’s not too important to me, as I like the look and it’s well priced compared to others, but it’s still a lump of money and wanted to find out more if I could.

Maybe post on Calibre11 forum see what they say. Pretty sure that the movement shown in the photo is a 7750, the rotor is completely wrong for a 5100 and don’t the 5100 watches have the little aircraft thing on one of the hands? If you have a higher res photo the 7750 is stamped and you would be able to see it in that photo. As others have said it’s not too important to me, as I like the look and it’s well priced compared to others, but it’s still a lump of money and wanted to find out more if I could.
Don’t get me wrong I think the parts are real but I don’t think it is “right.”
What worries me most is the “it’s quite well priced” does the seller know that there is something a bit fishy?
https://www.chrono24.co.uk/heuer/pasadena-pvd-vint... Looks right enough for decent money how does “yours” compare price wise?
Hey Jimmy, it's definitely a 7750 [so a 750.501 rather than a 510.501]. On the Lemania 5100 you have a minute and second chrono hand on the center spindle and also the top subdial isn't seconds but 24hr:
My Lemania, note the 12 o'clock subdial.

I'm not very up on the 7750 ones, but OnTheDash & Calibre11.com have an excellent library on these and others. Oh - here you go - https://www.calibre11.com/ultimate-guide-heuer-pas...
