Not having the camera to hand at the moment but 99.9% sure there is no firewire or USB on it. I am assuming I need a wonglywidget or something to transfer from the video/audio out to the mac?

Anyone done this? And how much would I be looking at?

Cheers in advance.

You need something like this I think:

www.microanvika.com/product.asp?TXT=INFO&PNO=BEL59310

Will be available from lots of places, just used Microanvika as an example.

I presume you're talking a video camera...

No problem.

Have a pop down to a Mac reseller and they'll haved something similar for not much more cash.

If not, you could use something like a MyTV2Go from Hauppauge which I think has an input from things like camcorders. And you'll get a TV tuner thrown in - in fact, if you wanted to go this route I have one that is now surplus to requirements

Of course you could always upgrade your video camera too

Doh! Got me mitts on it, sans instructions etc but there is a DV out on it. Got the instruction in PDF from Sony.

Sorry for the duff post, I asked the parents before seeing it and they were not sure and thought is was analogue only.

Thanks for the replies.
