Right, thanks for the help with the Honda garages, I got a frankly ridiculous deal on a 2018 cbr1000rr SP and I could do with pointers on day 1 mods.
I’m looking to fit a tail tidy, rear hugger and a different exhaust.
I’m not a huge fan of the akrapovic shorty titanium exhaust, but I’d want to replace the standard exhaust with a titanium one, either slip on or a full system if it’s worth it, any suggestions?

Tail tidy, I’m guessing R&G?
Rear hugger at the minute I’m considering getting the Honda one as part of the kit they do (hugger, 12v shppply and bar ends)
Engine case sliders, I’m not drilling anything and if I send it I’ll accept they won’t do everything.

Tail tidy's i'd check what ones look the best for your bike, one addition i'd make whilst not needed as much now but for colder days, heated grips.

Do NOT be tempted to get the Taylor made exhaust. Absolute junk.

FWIW, I'm aware of dyno tests that showed the OEM headers were the best for torque.

I used a Arata Ti system as it was very nice, made a few bhp up top witha PC5 but you might want to add a fuelnig mod like a Rapid Bike module into your plans as well.

Definitely, I've got a tail tidy and levers on mine from evotech and they're top notch for the money.

I assume the exhaust is a factory job but I love the look of the endurance bikes, particularly the pipes...

As suggested above, Evotech tail tidy. I'd also get their radiator guard.

Honda are selling some of their accessories cheap. Brochure is on the Honda website https://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/my-bike/archiv... The high screen (£45 down from £200), tank bag (£25 down from £120) and hugger (for the non SP model) are discounted significantly. The hugger needs a small cut out to fit the SP. Call Steve at Maidstone Honda for details. He also had some of the genuine covers for £55 but they will be gone now. Personally I wouldn't bother with the hugger, but the high screen and tank bag are worth getting.

Top of any list of modifications for any bike should always be the suspension modified to suit you.

Have a chat with a suspension specialist, it can make a big difference.

If your riding in all weathers then these sports bikes benefit from a fender extender at the back of the front mudguard. Prevents all the crud from blocking the rads.

Just seen an R1 which didn't have one and needed to replace oil cooler at 23k

That looks the tits, it reminds me I need to get a sticker to replace the one next to the seat cowl, it’s got a gouge in it and Honda are saying it’s £80 for the sticker yikes
The top white and blue one not the HRC one.

No, my days of all season riding are over, this bike might be ridden every month of the year but only if it’s dry, the wear and tear I put on my cbr600rr in 18 months and 20,000 miles was unreal.

I’ve got plenty of cars and a work van so it’s absolutely a toy, I won’t be a wheel polishing self pleasurer but equally I’m not trashing the bike when I don’t need to :-)

+1. If you must mod, then I too would have suspension modified to suit you.

This bike is the nuts in superstock form. Get the suspension tailored to your weight and track it. Although I get why you'd want to mod it etc.

They're lacquered in. Probably cheaper to buy a new panel....
