2 Macs - how to sync files?
Discussion
IS it possible to sync files from 2 different macs?
I have a MacBook Air and also a Mac Mini, if i want to access a document that's on the MacBook Air using the Mac Mini, is there any way of automatically syncing them?
At the moment i am just using Air Drop to send the files from one machine to the other, be nice to have some kind of automated method to do this.

iCloud Drive.
Make sure both machines are signed into your iCloud account, and store all documents in the iCloud Drive folders. Depending on which version of Mac OS both are running, it can also sync your desktop between the two machines.
Dropbox/ Google Drive etc will do a similar job, but given both machines are Apple, unless you want to easily access the docs on a non Apple product, I'd have though iCloud Drive is the obvious way forward.

Oh ok didn't think of that, will create an iCloud shortcut and save the contents of my docs to the iCloud folder
Icloud should sync everything under Documents automatically.Just activate Icloud on both machines.
And Robert is your Mother's brother.
( The first synch might take a while )

I Can never find my documents in my iCloud Drive. I have to save them to there on my laptop as it has shockingly small memory. But if I look for them on my iPad or whatever I can’t find f
k all
I use the search function all the time to find stuff - Command-space bar on MacOS, or swipe down on the middle of the screen on iPhone or iPad. Just type in part of the file you are looking for and it will find it. I also use it to open Apps too, it’s so useful.
k allIf you don’t know the file name then you can just browse for it using the files app. My iPhone, iPad and MacBook all sync using iCloud.
