What films will everybody be watching this weekend. Obviously Le Mans ( Steve McQueen original) and Le Mans 66.
What else to bring some of the atmosphere home?

Think I'll be watching the Virtual Le Mans 24 hours instead.

I'd rather not celebrate it...to pissed off.
I'll peek at the virtual race though im sure it will fail to inspire me because its just not real.

Im watching the world returning to normal and hoping for a September race

Already watched Le Mans 2018, Journey To Le Mans and Le Mans: Racing Is Everything. Tried to watch the 2012 and 2013 reviews on Prime but without RLM at the helm I had to turn off, just woeful commentary.

This weekend will definitely be Le Mans, saw Le Mans 66 at the flicks and did kind of expect the release on Sky/Prime to tie up with this weekend. Might end up down Asda picking one up regardless.

Also Eurosport have plenty of reviews on, so might just stick with that if all else fails.

Off work after today, I’ve got all the race dvds since 1980, and 10 or so Le Mans docs, plus the McQueen film, and if I get through that there’s whatever YouTube has to offer.

The merguez arrive Friday.

Some branches of Waitrose do small pots of Rillettes actually from Le Mans. Unfortunately not the supersized pots you get at the Carrefour

I've been trying to find this stuff ever since some guy at a clients went on about it following his trip to the Classic. Brilliant, I'll go to Waitrose and give it a try.

While we are on the subject of food , I thought I’d share this.

Says it all really

I shall probably watch the BBC documentary on the 1997 race, even though it includes this pair

Will get some French food, beer and watch the virtual race. Small consolation for not being able to go to the race but I’m going to enjoy it for what it is. I would have been packing the car today ready to leave in the morning frown

I haven't seen the Grand Marnier stand in the village for a few years now. I'm sure I heard something about the ACO putting the rents up so they left. Someone did say they relocated to another part of the circuit but I've never found it. Great Shame
