A new air taxi, Lilium, seems to have significant new investment. It’s an interesting proposition - vertical take off and landing, 300kph speeds and a 300mile range, 4 passengers and a pilot.

Can you see this one not making it all the way? I read about the project before seeing picture and then felt the wingspan was too big to be used effectively as a taxi - much like a helicopter.

I remember that there was constant articles about this, how it'd be the next big thing etc but never got anywhere.

It'd be cool to see something like this succeed but I just don't see the viability, myself.

Not sure about the range, but it sounds like a neat concept if they can build it.
