Yup, there all-day. Searched high and low for a C6, not a sausage ! Was hoping to show the missus one so it's not too much of a surprise when a C6Z06 appears in the garage

What a great weekend. The heat was unrelenting but the attendance was incredible with cars overspilling onto the side field and breaking the attendance record previously held by the Land Rover lot.

There were some new cars around this year. You do get a sort of staleness with the same cars turning up year after year but the attention to detail on some of them puts fine art to shame.

It was a little disappointing for those who've bought a 2005 Mustang to see so many there. There were loads of them and given this is it's first year, you can imagine them taking up a large proportion of the field in years to come. There was even a blue 2005 Saleen Mustang on the side field.

As mentioned, no C6's but there were absolutely loads of Vettes in the Vette circle. JUdging by the condition of some of them, I was beginning to doubt they ever drove them at all as there weren't even any chips on them...anywhere.

Typically, there was another electron blue Z06 there on Saturday although he wasn't there on Sunday so I had the only Z06 on the Sunday and got a lot of interest from people.

It was nice when I got home to turn on Top Gear and watch the Cadillac CTS-V being put through it's paces and nice to see that the only real gripe Jezza had was the price which is fine because you can import one yourself for about £35k and despite JC's praise of the Monaro VXR, he omitted to mention the Cadillac's two extra doors and shedload more distinctive style.

Indeed, loads of great detailed and immaculate cars. How do they get them there without a spot of dust on them ? Bit dissapointed with the way they let non american cars mingle in the field with the yank cars. I had to go up in the Honda and parked way away out of respect for the American cars. Never seen such a display of Vauxhalls/Renaults/Fiats etc... at an American show before.

TG say Vauxhall are cutting the price of Monaro already to shift them. It would have been much better to launch at a price that got customers excited in the first place rather than drop the price later which looks like desperation. My best guess is depreciation on Cadillacs will be vicious in UK so personal import must be the way to go if you want one.
