2 Qs - "Tamora SP" and Sagaris BHP Output

Took a little visit to the new TVR London (Chiswick) gig on Saturday. Very easy to spot and even easier to find the only 4 cars in their huge, bland showroom! I really went in to ask about servicing, which they don't do but of course you find yourself having a nose around anyway.......

They have a rather nice black Tamora SP, which seems to have a bit more "bling" to it and different wheels to the standard 7 spoke alloys. Anyone know what that is? A re-badged Red Rose for the non-savvy cockney?

Also, reading the Sagaris brochure (and in fact some recent tests) I see it shoves out 406 BHP and 349 ft lb torque. The extra 6 BHP is irrelevant really but what have they done to the speed 6 to release extra torque - seems to come in at lower revs too.

I am getting more and more tempted by a Sagaris now

The SP stands for 'Silverstone Performance', and ASAIK, there are no mods to the engine, apart from a sports exhaust, the rest, as you say is 'bling', especially those wheels. The rest are good 'performance upgrades', however, and the very nice guys at Silverstone TVR do seem to have done their homework.
Not sure what they did to the Saggy S6, judging from other threads, TVR need to sort out a more secure way of holding the bonnet in place so you can use that 406 BHP

Oh and there was me thinking the bonnet on the Sagaris was removed for show Judging by the state of the tyres on the cars I don't think they've even been on the road yet.

Is Chiswick going to become just a high profile showroom and little else? No used cars, not a great deal of knowledge on previous models, no servicing (yet..), very minimalist interior. Ah well, there's always TVR Central or Steve Howard at Hurst (or as the salesman told me 'Fernhurst Sir, not Hurst' FFS!). A bit more homework I think.

Yes, that car may have the TC on it, I know Silverstone offer the Race Logic system as an upgrade, so I would have thought they'd put it on their SP demo Tam.

It is a Red Rose Tamora with a carbon front spoiler, light conversion, traction control, polished rear silencer cover, carbon fibre badges, Sports Exhaust (beautiful exhaust note but not too loud for those long journey migranes), aftermarket wheels and a seriously tweaked sterio set up.

All in all, veritable Tam porn

I spoke for some time to the guys at Silverstone about their wheel upgrade and rest assured it is more than cosmetic. If fact it is the package the car was supposed to have if TVR hadn't off been put off making moulds for two different sized wheels by the cost.
