BMW 235 tyre pressure sensor

Had a slow puncture on a 2014 235i. Tyre fitter diagnosed a damaged pressure sensor and fitted a normal valve until I get a new one.
ECP have got a Siemens VDO one for £40 but is it a straight replacement or will it need coding to the car. Just want to have the correct information to ensure I’m not being spun a yarn

No coding required. It will just pick it up. At least that how they are with my summer and winter wheels.

Actually not sure about 2014 models......
