Same here- a super weekend with a great crowd. Special thanks to Mal for driving us to drink, and more importantly back again although I don't remember much about that...

Also thanks to the barbecue/food providers- good scoff.

All the best until the next time.

My son and i had a great day on the saturday walking round and meeting every body. Hi All Unfortunately my little SJ blew the head gasket just outside of Newark on way home . (Sort of explains the water loss drseg) So spent this morning travelling back to Newark to tow it home
Other than that looked like a great turnout for the club and can't wait for the next show.
...............okey now sits patiently thinking of ways to raise much needed moolah to finish his geep

WHAT A FANTASTIC WEEKEND

Great location , Great cars , Great Company , Cold beer and a most impressive entrance to the showground en masse (Grandad Dave's Dixie horn blaring) everyone knew The Jago Owners Club display had arrived and we put a lot of smiles on faces!

So remember , forget the Sport on TV , mowing the lawn , visting the in-laws , get yourself a tent (we did) and get yourself to Harrogate on the 13/14th August

I guarantee it will be the most fun you have had in ages , and with the kit car press very keen to give us exposure , lets give them something to write about very month.

Thanks again guys you did us all proud.

Yes a really great weekend - Georgie and I were home for 5.30. Thanks to red bull and two coffee stops for keeping me awake!
Just done the packing for the next few days - work this time.
Thanks to everyone for making the weekend such a great success and for looking after George and me.
Once I get back from Bude the Jago will be off road until I can get the brakes sorted, after singing their praises so much - the pulling was so bad by the time we got home that I had more than doubled my distance to the vehicles in front. Looking at the front callipers I suspect that the drivers side piston is weeping, either way I'll be stripping the callipers off, checking and repairing as required, before fitting new shoes

250 MILES HOME WITH THE ROOF DOWN!!!! Fantastic finish to a fantastic weekend!

Thanks to all involved for making it so; it was so good to meet you all and to find that the JOC exceeds expectations of welcome, good company and plain good fun. Thanks for helping make my first JOC show experience so memorable, AND I won a prize - the wife still can't belive it (it's always her that wins, oddly enough!)

Thanks again to you all, and anyone who hasn't attended a show with the JOC yet, get those Jagos shining and get out there!

My show experience was a bit shorter than most- delayed start on Sat morning as my son was not fit, drove down from Carlisle into the blistering heat so eloquently described above. Impressive display of Jagos, got almost everything on my shopping list in the space of about two and a half hours, just as the not well son was in the queue for appendix removals which he eventually achieved 11pm last night. Drove back up this morning and have just returned home now.
All's well that ends well as someone once said, pleased now that we hadn't camped Friday night as originally planned other wise I would probably still be at Newark (or the local hospital) now!!

The staff from the Total kit car mag stayed in the same place as me and I heard them discussing the Jagos in a very positive way!!

We will not make Harrogate due to Irish holiday

No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

You DON'T have to polish them- roadworthy and MOTed is sufficient if you're driving to a show.

It's a kit car show not a @*!$ing concours event.

The more the merrier as long as it's a Jago. (or a jeep-type or buggy-ish thingy)

Must admit despite what people thought I havent polished/painted anything on mine since before Stafford in March , in fact Friday was the first time its been washed in a month mind you 3 days of dusty fields plus last night's downpour means it has far more character now......!

Does seem slightly odd however, that at Newark Tonka was the only one dissappearing for showers every day....AND TOOK HIS GEEP WITH HIM!

No wonder it's so shiny!!

Yes I did enjoy all those trips to the shower doubt the geep did cos it had to wait for us in the classic car area.

Thanks to everyone for making it a very enjoyable weekend for me and especially to dave for letting me have a go in his auto geep even if the brakes dont work properly anymore it wasnt me

Thanks for the kind words drseg-he's back home now recuperating reading his Fast Ford, Classic Ford, Landrover Owner and Fast and Modified, (a bit dodgey that one- must watch that boy!) I think there's a Practical Classics in there somewhere too. As the firemen say its a death trap with all of that paper lying about!!! I'd never thought of a librarian as a high risk job
I'm sure we'll catch up before too long

I see a new problem arising for the Jago club- apart from the debate about the prevalence of RED as the colour there seems to be an association betwen Jago ownership and the name "Dave". Is there any data on record relating to how many red Jagos are owned by a man called Dave??? I think we should know.......
