I’ve had this debate with my local parish council. We have workers in the village installing broadband cabling, delivery drivers and others working away from home but our council have closed the toilets for ‘safety reasons’. Now people are complaining that folks are peeing (and probably worse) behind bushes.

I agree with you but also think you're sort of lucky you have any in the first place. The lack of public conveniences has been a problem in this country for decades, if you get off the beaten track there simply isn't any.

Our (North Norfolk) local councils had a sudden rush of common sense and reopened a load of the ones on the coast
