I know this stuff is good, and I know it can do some really good work on paintwork

BUT

Why is it that whenever you have a paintwork problem which is far beyond the workable reach of any retail chemical product, there is always Mr or Mrs Noddy F:censored:kwit who tries to reslove the situation with "oh a bit of T-Cut will sort that out"!

These people are everywhere!! For some reason there seems to be some belief that T-Cut will sort everything out from a slight scratch to world peace!

Small scratch - "Oh a bit of T-Cut will sort that out"

Large Scuff - "Yeah no probs, T-Cut will sort it!"

Car hit by a dump truck head on at 90MPH, front end caved in, wheels fallen off, engine fire damage and all internal plastics melted - you guessed it, "Yeah mate just use a bit of T-Cut"

Small nuclear weapon hits the centre of London, evaporates everything within a 20 mile radius and irradiates and destroys everything else in a painful and horrific way within the next 200 miles and ensures horrific genetic mutations for the next thousand years and the destruction of the human race - "T-cut will sort it mate, no probs"

WHY????? Why do people feel this insane need to try to show that they know something by naming a random product that they have heard other people use and claim that it is the wonder product from everything to car scratches to discovering life on other planets!?

There thats better :) Got some T-Cut and it sorted it out ;)

Yeah, and if the T-Cut isn't available, a quick squirt of WD-40 does the job instead......

Yes, that's obviously wrong. You'd need gaffer tape for that.

I've got a key scratch on the back of my escort, and T-cut has been suggested to me more than once. I've then pointed out that doing that simply takes more paint off the car.

you could try covering the rest of the car in scratches in the original colour. hey presto, perfectly level and matching bodywork.

for years whenever my father and I were walkinga round a racing car paddock and we saw a car sporting substantial damage he would also make the comment "trackings out!". Now whenever I see a crashed car with a good deal of damage I say the same thing... I am my dad. what they say is true. I even have that small bit of wood to stir paint stored for no reason other than that.
