See here

I really don't understand how people can go so far just to steal a car.

I suppose the only consolation is that he was caught and can't do something like this again.

A disgraceful waste of life.

Good to see for once the courts dishing out almost appropriate sentences.

I think the car thing was almost incidental, just a useless little scrote playing out his inability to function within a framework of civilization by dealing out violence to those who have a succeeded where he has failed. Same thing with Rolex murders.

My views are generally liberal but there is something about that sort of unprovoked envy crime that really gets to me.

I'd help the useless toad to rehabilitate by taking part in a Stock car racing project....his role would be as crash barrier.

Problem is he probably can and will. Life doesn't mean life anymore. At 17...the scrote will probably be out by the time he's 35 - with a long life still ahead of him.

Life should mean life...and as plotloss often says...hard labour...

I think 17 years inside would probably convince most people that crime doesn't pay... say it quickly by all means .... but the grinding drugery of 15 years or so inside - with no holidays, sex (of the warm and fluffy kind), then you come out at 35 with a record no career etc etc - it IS a terrible price - for a terrible deed

But act in haste and repent at your leisure. I agree there are more productive things to put criminals to do -

but anyone who thinks this is a too soft ... probably beleived that genghis khan was misunderstood !

Problem is I doubt this useless piece of crap can ever contribute anything to society - with or without a long prison sentence.
When I see something like this, I feel strange mix of outright rage and immense sadness.

In the political viewpoint stakes Genghis Khan was a pansy in comparison to me. As they say: My politics is slightly to the right of Attilla the Hun and just left of Vlad the Impaler.

On ITV this morning they where talking about him getting 12 - 16 years.......How in the F**K can you call that life, he went out armed with a knife intent on stealing a car and using force if needs be....He should do 30 years minimum.

Give him a leathal injection. Why the hell should us taxpayers pay to keep scum like this who have NO place in society??
And before anyone says it, rehabilitation wont do any good at all. If he were anywhere near human he wouldnt have done it in the first place!!

An alternative might be to be subjected to say 5 years of isolation being fed junk food, forced to smoke 60 a day, loads of chocolate and a strict diet of Eastenders. That way, when he came out regardless of his armoury, my mother would see him off easily. We are too quick to impliment tough regimes for these people so they come out of prison looking like Rambo with only twice the brains.

Only snag here is that he would probably feel quite at home.
Solitary, bread and water, hard labour and a regular kicking.

I agree with Strick on this, a lethal injection sounds about right, except, he should take three days to die from it, in agony of course.

Thing is, this kind of crime is going to become more common as vehicle security technology improves, the only way to steal cars is going to be to forcibly take the keys from the rightful owner.
