I’m buying a 993 GT2 which has Michelin Pilot Super Sports dated 2014.

Any recommendations? I couldn’t find 4S to fit front and rear. Web sites keep throwing up MPS 3.

Believe rear is 285/35 and front 235/40.
Michelin web site suggests I could also fit 295/35 rear and 245/40 fronts.

I'm not nerdy enough to know about the GT

But the rest of the 993s have 225/40 fronts and 265/35 or 285/30 or 295/30 rears.

Shirley the actual interweb has the answer, rather than relying on mad people on PH hehe

What's on there at the moment?

I can't remember who you bought it from, but have they not fitted the correct sizes?

Then you’ll note I mentioned what’s on there at the moment and the size, which is now 6 years old, and as this tyre was replaced by the 4S but I can’t seem to find a 4S in that size, I was asking for advice smile

It was the word 'believe' that threw me.

Well it's kept the thread at the top at least hehe

In the good old days of Pistonheads, my comment would only have said:

'This is the worst 'I've got a GT2' thread ever' wink

In the good old days, we could ask questions and people would give some helpful advice.

So far, not so much.

(btw I will do a thread on the car when it gets delivered which I’m hoping is mid next week, so don’t worry about that smile )

The choice of 285/35x18 rubber is limited to say the least.

I've got 295/30 & 245/40 Cup2s on mine. Works well with those sizes.

That’s what I’d do too.

As stated, no real choice at 285/35 which is annoying as it's the standard rear size on the 964 3.8RS too - Supersports in Merc spec is the only Michelin option. I'd personally try 295/35 over 295/30 as you'll have more sidewall but depends on which type of look you prefer.
