Cowardly BBC...John Cleese
Discussion
Not much to say really. I know a few germans, I’m not sure they’d expect to be described as a race.

Cleese is right in his opinion of the cowardly BBC although it probably reflects the current crop of TV producers across the board.
All the satirical programs that Frost presented and then the 60/70's 'comedy' series that satirized life in the UK at the time, would never get past the PC editorial dept these days.
Satire is dead, long live Love Island!
Pah!

Is it not the user of the hard N word rather than the Germans that are causing the problem.

Which was the infamous n****r episode - was it the rat / hotel inspector one?
It was this one. It's not because of the German bit but because the Colonel says the N word. (So I understand.)And thank god they didn't ban it because of Polly.

Obviously this was 1975 and so it's very outdated. Would never happen today. Not as if we have a PM who sympathies with the BLM cause and stands up to racism, having referred to black people previously as pica-ninnies with water melon smiles.

Stop funding the BBC, people. Watch Netflix instead.
Easy to get hold of the original episodes anyhow.
That'll be the Netflix that has removed numerous programs and films from its service over exactly the same issues.Easy to get hold of the original episodes anyhow.
