motorbike that uses a 1 into 2 throttle cable?
Discussion
can any of you guys think of a motorbike that uses a one into two throttle cable?
one where the twist grip has a single cable that goes to a junction box and comes out into two cables to go to individual carbs...
most of the modern stuff is twin cable... push and pull, but I can't use that on the bike I am building....

Suzuki RGV or Aprilia RS 250one where the twist grip has a single cable that goes to a junction box and comes out into two cables to go to individual carbs...

Single throttle grip to two carbs and the oil pump via a connector/cam box
My Ducati Monster does but it's not the standard setup. It has split-single carbs instead of the banked pair (which would use a single) however, the carbs were supplied with a 1 into 2 cable, made by 'Motion-pro' https://www.motionpro.com/ , actually it was a 2 into 4 as it had both opener and closer cables to each carb but I removed the closers to fit a different twist-grip.
Otherwise you can get a custom setup made, I've had custom cables made up by Cable-tec in Sutton-in-Ashfield https://www.cable-tec.co.uk/ and they did a great job.
I'm not sure what else uses such a setup? My old Guzzi has twin carbs but also has twin cables and I think a lot of old bikes were this way.

Its actually for a Ducati... I am fitting some FCR's on a 1000ds engine... but the carbs are in a split configuration.... hence the 1 into two...Otherwise you can get a custom setup made, I've had custom cables made up by Cable-tec in Sutton-in-Ashfield https://www.cable-tec.co.uk/ and they did a great job.

BMW R100 series bikes from the early 1980s did.

Surely you just need a ‘junction box’ from Amal and then add whatever cables you want either side?

I just put on a 3-way as above to reinstall the chokes on the Hurricane.
And as has been suggested above Speedy Cables are good with cables and should be able to supply whatever lengths and ends fittings you want.

Then that's what the motion pro is made for. Although the kit has the closer cables you don't actually need them as the FCR springs are quite strong and unlikely to stick open.I removed them because I adapted a 916 throttle because it has a fast-idle 'switch' built-in, making it easier to get the Monster warmed up without stalling when cold but the 916 throtlle only has the opener cable.

As an aside, are those your carbs? If so what sort of manifolds do you have because they're both sidedraft carbs and I would think you'd need the downdraft for the front cylinder, especially so if using short intakes.
At least that's how my Monster is setup...
Guzzi 850's / 1000's of the T3 / Le Mans I / II and later.....

Most old twin cylinder / carb stuff will have a 1 into 2... I seem to remember my KH250 have a 1 into 3 cable
My KH250 had a one into four cable.....three for carbs and one for oilpump.(Fond memories of riding round Norwich ringroad using a pair of molegrips when the nipple came off the handlebar end)

its a long story... I built a special with a 1000 DS motor where I used some 38mm carbs off the Monster... I rode the bike all last years and loved the bike... but felt the carbs held it back. so this year I have decided to change to the FCRs. they will fit where the Mikuni's fitted on some custom made manifolds I have made. At least that's how my Monster is setup...
Last winter I did an ST4s (996 engine) where I converted that to carbs... that runs REALLY well, I am so impressed with the performance on that one! here are a couple of pictures of the bikes...

Can't say for other models but my Lemans II has a twin cable throttle, 1 to each carb. https://www.biketeile-service.de/en/rollerscooterp...
