Has anyone else started drinking these ? We've necked quite a few during lockdown and now we're allowed to mix at a distance with a few friends I can't see why we would rush back to the pub when the weather is ok

I've tried a couple of the 8 pint ones, my biggest problems with them are getting rid of the empties and the dripping from the tap.

I've had a couple, but either I'm rubbish at how you're meant to use them, or the taps are awful. I just can't get a decent pour from them, it's always a very slow affair that creates massive amounts of head.

One evening ! Hand your man card back in , it's an afternoon light refreshment before hitting the prosecco
To be fair the taps are crap and you have to be careful pouring but it's almost pub like if your trying to replicate a pub beer garden for mates?

Never mind their own , I'd expect two plus fizz , I'm putting the BBQ on and supplying the food .

Get off, since when did men drink prosecco?

Do you vent the keg properly?

Per the instructions on them (they seem to vary a bit between different ones), but it doesn't seem to help much.

If I managed 9 pints in a week, would day 7 be undrinkable, or just a bit passed its best?

For real ales, they typically recommend using within 3-4 days of opening.

Me, I'd keep drinking it until it turned or, as is more likely the case, until the keg ran dry.

We have a lager dispensing machine which takes 8 litre kegs. We're currently stocked with Moretti and these are theoretically good for a month or so after opening. I say theoretically because a keg doesn't seem to make it even one week.

I guess the larger kegs make more sense than the ale ones. Is the ale bright?

I think we need more details on this, any links etc.

I have only seen the torp ones but they only hold two litres

I've got a Sub Torp,, not sure I would recommend it to be fair.

Kegs are expensive and as stated they are only two litres. I'd guess 10% is wasted each time you change the keg as some is always left and then the first pint is mainly froth.

We occasionally fill and use these at my brewery (in France)...

Never had a problem with the beer foaming, make sure the keg is properly cold though before you do use it. We also use a proper counter pressure machine for filling them whereas I know some breweries in the UK are just filling them direct from a normal beer tap and keg. Not sure if they are flushing the mini kegs with c02, so this may impact the lifespan of the beer.
