I have previously owned a .1 GT3 with Clubsport package and being a big guy (275lbs, 6ft6)...the fit was always a bit more on the snug side.
On longer trips, the side of my hips did get sore..and i always wanted to try the Sport seats instead as a result.

Have a chance to upgrade to a RS and the car is a LHD, very low mileage and comes with a comfort pack (no cage, Sport seats) - all the things i wanted on paper.

I can only assume that there must be a very small and niche market of folks who would consider such a configuration...but as i see it, i get the benefit of a RS, with more comfy seats for long distance, mountain / weekend driving and more space in the rear without the cage...

..but am i silly considering this setup knowing that most likely resell will not be great?
(I am not one of those lucky ones that changes cars often...i am looking at my next purchase to be an almost forever keep).

Still, any owners with such a setup who have any regrets?

You buy want fits your needs, cars like that you pick up cheaper so in the future you sell cheaper, so not an issue. They are harder to sell but the price fixes that issue, so make sure you pay a lot less in the first place.

Think I’ve only ever seen one on sale....it was PTS car and sold quickly. I was amazed if I am honest as it sold at a price commensurate with the PTS premium rather than seemingly any pricing to reflect it wasn’t a CS.
I’d go for it ! Means you’ll use it more and that’s what they are designed for.

Ronin’s RS has chairs, though that was because the buckets weren’t homologated over there I think?

It was because they were not available in the production run and I had an invitation to a meeting at Zell am See which was sponsored by Wolfgang Porsche. I could have waited butI would have missed the meeting- as it was Porsche chawed the prod date to let me have the car on Sep 2 2015, the day before the meeting.

Roll cages are never OEM in North America, nor are lightweight windows. Engine specs are identical.

One thing I did not like about the LWBs was that they are fully fixed here. I had LWBs on my 997.2 RS and they folded- I also saw a German RS with folding LWBs which is what I would have liked. The 991 is perfectly driveable with the comfort seats and I have tracked it often.
Dr Porsche kindly signed the car which he rarely does:
