does anybody know where to get wind deflector / side screen hinges for a westfeild or similar?

had a look at newark for some deflectors and they wanted £40!!!

so i'll make them my self!

EuropaSpares.com sell the hinges independently and they want £43+P&P for them.

I'm going to be making some for the car as well out of 4mm polycarbonate to a design featured in the Marlins Owners Club magazine. To attach them to the car I'm thinking of something that's removable rather than hinged simply due to the hideous costs involved (£10 for one hinge!).

Try Westfield themselves. Do you need the full hinge, or just the bit that goes onto the sidescreen/deflector? I got this part for my deflectors a year ago from the factory and they cost £24.58.

how much!!!

yeah i only need the top part of the hinge, although looking at some of these prices i might have to have a look in b&q for something!.

also for some strange reason westfeild dont sell deflectors, dont know why?!!

dont suppose anybody knows where to find a plan of the shape i'll need to cut out?

and does the shape make any difference?

the shape does make a difference, fairly dependent on your car. For example there was a fella in the MOC who bought the wind deflectors from EuropaSpares and they proved useless - he then followed the design in the MOC Technical Tips and apparently it's like a different car now such is the effeciency.

For the Marlin, this is what is recommended:
