I'm pretty sure the end cover can be glued back onto that knuckle, usually when they fail the cover flies off and disappears but luckily you have yours.

The water jets I think sit behind on those 'Daleks head' things on the main unit so there is no problem with blocking anything up with the glue when re-attaching the cover.

When I bought my car I had problems with the washers, the dealer sent me two replacement units and upon inspection one was new and one appeared used and had been repaired as above.

So try a bit of epoxy resin, from memory when I fixed one of mine I released the clip and took it out, made the rapair, and then left it out until the glue had dried.

you are lucky to have the cover, I lost mine while driving,
DB9 covers cannot be bought on their own, only with the whole washer assembly from memory at GPB250 or so NB,. vantage covers are available on their own, but are a different shape so do not fit DB9

you can pull the arm out using a tue wrap or similar and therefore hold this to reaffix the cover, but i think it may be difficult to glue satisfactorily,

in my case i bought the new assembly , but them took the cover from that new assembly and refitted to the existiing - as saved removal of wheel arch liner to replace old washer assembly - anyone need a washer withiout cover 😀

There is a U shaped circlip at the back (it's ends are just visible in the first photo) it holds the head unit to the main body, pop that off and you can remove the head unit and fix the two broken bits on the bench, then re-assemble when set.

From memory re-fitting is a bit fiddly but if you pull the spring loaded tube forwards with pointy pliers it gives enough space to pop the clip back in, the whole thing then retracts back into the headlight when released.
