So I've found a matching centre console for my Carrera S cab - mine is looking a bit tatty so I'm looking to swap it out for a tidy version. Can someone tell me if the console is a standard fitting or if it varies depending on whether the Bose sub is fitted. Mine has Bose, so I don't want to go to the palaver of getting a replacement if it's not going to fit.

Insofar as I'm aware the console is a standard item. BOSE in a 997 Cab sees the sub installed in the passenger footwell, so there should be no drama to swap it out.

Would be keen to hear how you get on swapping it out - I’ve just acquired a colour coded centre console for my 987 Boxster & have not yet built up enough courage to start the swap & attack it with screwdrivers, hammer & chisels...

It is a very simple swap indeed just handful of screws, have done 3 of them. Just lay the screws out neatly so you can put them back easily

Ah that's useful, thank you. There is a YouTube clip of a step-by-step procedure, which looks straightforward enough (says she who will be providing the tea and biscuits while a mate who thinks 'it should be ok' gets on with it! )
