I'm looking for recommendations for products and processes to prolong the life of the soft top on my car.

I can see slight wear in a couple of places, presumably where something rubs during the open / close process - is there anything I can do to stop those getting worse. I'm happy to spend reasonable money now to prevent me having to spend big money later.

There are a few white marks (it's a black roof), that I assume also come from the folding process - what's the best way to remove these?

Lastly, I think it needs some kind of treatment so that water beads rather than soaks in. All of the products I have seen require the car to be protected from rain for at least 24 hours after application, which is a bit of a challenge for me.

I've already tried 303 cleaner and protector, and I wasn't impressed. Any other recommendations.

303 as a protector is an excellent product. However you need to do the prep work. Auto finesse make a good cleaner but use a good brush and do not wash in sunlight. Also do not soak the roof when cleaning.

Fabsil Gold worked for me, wear you can't do a lot about!

Renovo do a cleaner and a protector. They also do a renovator which is basically a recolour. The cleaner has a sort of anti algae thing in it to help keep the green at bay.

Another poster on here recommended "Cif Mould Stain Remover" for cleaning, and I must say I've had more noticeable results on mine (which has white and green mould stains all over the place) with that product than I have with the Autoglym kit or a couple of others, or Milton sterilising tablets. I haven't tried Renovo, not for any reason.

I actually have some hope with this stuff that I might be able to get it clean enough to seal, at which point I'll probably get some Fabsil. Nice thing about the Cif product is the pound shop sells it.

Renovo is ok but I find it’s messy especially applying the colour, doesn’t seem to last long either if the car is sat outside.
Watched this yesterday so the products may help.
