Hi, I need to replace my 9 year old dell. I was looking to get lenovo ideapad 5 as that seems to have best value for money with latest amd ryzon processor.

It won't be used for any gaming or graphics related work. Most intensive use will be very a large excel/access files. So I was thinking maybe I can instead get a used one on ebay and upgrade SSD/RAM if needed.

Only requirement is that it has a 15 inch screen. Are there any particular make/models that I should be looking for? I don't know if all laptops are easy to upgrade etc..

Thanks

Probably best with an ex-corporate Machine.
Lenovo T450 should do the trick for around £300 on Ebay.
Much easier (and usually cheaper) to get Parts, Batteries, etc

I would echo the above.

Look for a Lenovo Corporate grade laptop. They are robustly built, easy to get parts for and tend to be a bit more modular if / when you need to upgrade them.

eBay, Amazon, and laptops direct will all sell you a refurbished laptop. Often RAM upgraded and SSD installed for you.

Any Lenovo, HP, or Dell should work.
