We have a thread for covers better than the original and I've posted a couple of oddities so i thought I'd start a new thread

Give us your covers / reinterpretations, the odder the better

I'll start us off with this, not a bad effort and certainly different...ought to be better received they the Northern Kings cover of i should be so lucky.

Absolutely anything done by The Everly Pregnant Brothers. Every song they've covered will be forever ruined as you find yourself singing their alternative lyrics.

You'll have to look long and hard to beat Rolf Harris covering the Divinyls' I Touch Myself.

Most of the Postmodern Jukebox covers would fit here hehe . I'll go with their version of Radiohead - Creep.

Ah yes, I know of PMJ

I promised to take the better half to see them this year, so far covid has stopped that. I'm not booking tickets until things stop getting cancelled

Yes, and the "Top of the Pops" albums full of covers of chart hits. Someone who went on to become famous did one of them, but I can't remember who, or what song they performed on.

Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester takes some beating for odd and unusual covers, IMHO.

This interpretation of Britnay Spears song is an example;
