Have been with them for years. The policy provided via Chubb was excellent - your own repairer, agreed value (not market value) trackday cover, euro breakdown etc But they are changing the underwriter from July to AXA and I still don't have any info on the the new policy or cover - only the quote. Rather unimpressed really as its 10 days to renewal.

Does anyone have any info here on this change and the new insurers approach - as I prepare my delight in perusing the small print when it eventually arrives?

Thx

If anything I think it's better.

From memory the driving other cars bit also applies to your spouse as well if she is insured on the Aston. Something I've never seen before.

When squinting at the fine print I have noticed many of my "special" cars over the years have been underwritten by AXA. Not unfamilair territory for them.

On the Lockton website it still says AXA will pay diminution in the market value of the vehicle if it has an accident (say Cat D status), which is why I was with Chubb & Lockton.

It may be they haven't updated their website, as Chubb claims to be the only insurer to offer this.

I will only renew with Lockton/AXA if the above is still included, otherwise will look for another broker and request terms from Chubb.

I still don't have any real info but on the phone trying to clarify things an agreed value was clearly possible with 'new' AXA. As implied by Mark this always beats very vague 'market value'. Is it strong enough to negate the need for basic GAP insurance too?

Spoke to a broker today who may well be able to get our 3 cars on same policy with all my picky requirements ticked - never managed that with a better value multi car policy before. Fingers crossed!
