I was thinking of upgrading the brakes on my 991.2 carrera, as I gradually start doing some mods.
A set of 380mm turbo brakes would fit into the 20 inch rims nicely, but are an expensive option.
I wondered if I might be able to a 997 turbo set of brakes in. Has anyone got an idea?
Here is a link to a set of callipers on eBay, which are the hardest bits to find it seems:

I’d suggest you try different pads before spending serious money on something more major. Maybe upgraded and fresh fluid too if the pedal is a bit soft.
I know the smallest brakes can lack bite but I’ve never thought they lack ultimate power.
Could you give us an example of a car you thought had great brakes? That would help define the characteristics you’re after.

The 992 4S seemed to be able to scrub away speed quicker than my car. Perhaps it’s multifactorial. Anyway, it seems logical that if increasing power, brakes also need to be looked at. Having said that, from a given speed the car is still the same weight, same momentum to overcome etc.
My question really is, will 997 turbo brakes fit a 991? Certainly 991 turbo brakes will, but the costs start to get out of hand then.
